Most ships are alongside in Khasab from the morning until early evening, which is enough for any tour on this page. We set pickup around your ship’s actual schedule, not a fixed timetable, so tell us your arrival and sailing times when you book and we will work backwards from them.

The shuttle collects you at the cruise terminal and drops you back there. If your ship arrives late, we move the departure rather than cancel it.

How Long Are You In Khasab Port?
Work back from your sailing time and allow about half an hour for the shuttle both ways. Whatever is left, there is something here that fits it.
Three To Four Hours Ashore
Half day dhow cruise, or the city tour, or the mountain safari. Three hours each, and any of them gets you back with room to spare. The cruise is the one to take if you only do one thing in Khasab.
Six To Seven Hours Ashore

Khasab Shore Excursion Questions
Do I need an Oman visa for a day ashore?
No. Your ship handles clearance for passengers going ashore, so there is nothing for you to arrange and no visa fee to pay. Bring your passport and whatever landing card the ship issues, and that is all Khasab asks of you.
How far is the dhow port from the ship?
The two ports face each other across the water, but the dhow harbour is on the opposite side, so it is about a ten minute drive around, passing Khasab Fort on the way. Our shuttle covers it in both directions and it is free.
What if my ship arrives late?
We move the departure rather than cancel it. Send us the ship name and your arrival time when you book and we track it from our side.
Will I be back before the ship sails?
Yes. We set every departure from your sailing time, not from a fixed timetable, and we build in a margin rather than cutting it fine.
Can I book on the day I arrive?
Message us on WhatsApp before you dock. Boats fill on cruise days in the season, so a day or two of notice is safer than walking off the ship and hoping.
Is it cheaper than booking through the ship?
Usually, and by a wide margin. You are paying the operator directly.
When do cruise ships call at Khasab?
Mostly between November and April, which is also the best weather window for the fjords.
What should I bring?
Passport, swimming clothes, sun protection and a small bag for valuables.
